Relinking the kernel and rebooting the system
After allocating resources and resolving conflicts, enabling BIOS
resource allocation, or disabling a device, you must relink the kernel
and reboot the system to put these changes into effect.
In the
ISA PnP Configuration Manager:
-
Click on Apply.
Messages appear as system files are updated.
-
Click on OK to create a new kernel which reflects
the changes you made.
If you click on Cancel instead, you can create the
kernel manually at a later time. See
``Relinking the kernel''
for more information.
NOTE:
The changes you made will not be in effect until you
relink the kernel and reboot the system.
-
To halt the system, use the
System Shutdown Manager
or the
shutdown(ADM)
command.
-
Boot the system into multiuser mode.
