Nonexistent NFS server

If the local client's portmapper is unaware that the remote NFS server has crashed, an ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) error may occur. This may cause:

• The message WARNING: kclt_rcvudata: received T_UDERROR_IND (115) to appear on the client console.

• Increased calls to icmp_error and ICMP: Input Histogram: destination unreachable in the netstat -s display.

• The NFS remote server program is still registered with the local portmapper after the server has crashed.

• automount terminated unexpectedly; see ``Unexpected automount termination''.
