Unexpected automount termination

When automount is terminated with kill -9, one of the following may happen:

• User processes waiting for an NFS server can hang.

• The message WARNING: kclt_rcvudata: received T_UDERROR_IND (115) may appear on the console. This indicates that the NFS server could not contact the client running automount.

NFS will attempt to contact the server again, so you must restart automount. To do so, reboot the machine. Issuing the command nfs stop followed by nfs start is not sufficient.
