Accessing the SCO IPX/SPX graphical utilities
If you are running the X environment, the utilities will appear as a separate
window on your workstation or console. If you are not running X
(such as on a console multiscreen) the utilities will appear in a
semi-graphical window on the screen. This is referred to as CHARM,
or character mode operation.
The SCO IPX/SPX graphical utilities can be accessed in the following ways:
-
By selecting
Networks NetWare Monitors
from within scoadmin.
For more about SCOadmin,
consult the
scoadmin(ADM)
manual page.
-
By using the command scoadmin title,
where title is the full name of the graphical
application.
-
By selecting a utility from the IPX/SPX toolshed.
This option is only available if you are
running the Desktop. To make the toolshed available on your desktop,
do the following:
-
From the desktop File menu, select Open.
-
In the resulting window, enter /usr/lib/ipxrt
and click the OK button.
-
A directory window will be opened containing the IPX-SPX tools
icon. Using the left mouse button, drag this toolshed onto your
desktop.
-
If you wish to have the IPX-SPX tools icon
permanently on your desktop, save your desktop using
the Save option under the desktop
File menu.
