Administering the calendar

The Calendar Administration utility allows you to perform many useful actions on the calendar database and your users' calendars. Use the utility by selecting Cal Util from the scosh adm Utility list. With this program, you can do the following:

display calendar statistics, such as the number of times the calendar database is queried and the number of server errors
archive and update the calendar database
verify the data integrity of the calendar database
merge two calendar databases
convert a database created by SCO^® Portfolio version 1.0.1 or earlier to the current format
move a user's calendar from one database to another
stop, start, pause, or resume the calendar server processes
configure the Calendar
start the Calendar daemon
examine the calendar logfile

NOTE: When you perform maintenance on a calendar server, you must first pause or stop the server. Because of this, it is good practice to first inform all Calendar users that you are going to pause or stop the server, using a broadcast message or other means.
