Pausing and resuming the server (8)
You need to pause the server process on the server computer
before you can:
-
archive and update the calendar database.
-
check and fix the data in the calendar database.
-
merge two calendar databases.
-
convert a calendar database from a previous Portfolio release to this release.
-
move a user's calendar.
Pausing the server process ensures that the calendar database is
not corrupted during your administrative activities.
After you perform one of the above tasks,
you must resume the server process so users can access calendar data.
To pause or resume the server process, follow these steps:
-
Enter 8 at the Calendar Administration menu.
The Pause/Resume menu appears.
-
Enter 1 to pause the server
process or 2 to resume the server process.
-
Press <Return> to return to the Calendar Administration menu.
