General problems with tape drives
You may encounter the following general problems with tape drives:
-
Tapes written on higher capacity drives (for example, 150MB)
cannot be read on lower capacity drives (for example, a 60MB drive).
-
All QIC-02 and SCSI cartridge tape drives
supported by SCO OpenServer will read the QIC-24
(60MB) format tape install product.
-
High density 150MB drives require DC6150
or DC600XTD tapes for writing.
