Registering SCO OpenServer products
Most SCO OpenServer products require
registration after installation. Registration is your
confirmation that you have installed and
licensed your SCO OpenServer product.
Registering provides these benefits:
-
registering the SCO Update Service license
activates the SCO Update Service on your system.
-
registering any license entitles you to receive
security bulletins and information about
product updates as soon as they are available.
-
registering all your licenses removes
non-registered software warnings displayed on
the console when you start up the system or
log in.
Registering a product is a three-part process:
-
Use the License Manager to get the
information you need to register.
-
Visit the SCO OpenServer Registration web page
to obtain a Registration Key:
www.sco.com/registration
-
Use the License Manager again to
enter the Registration Key onto your system.
See
``Registering products''
for the complete registration process.
