The CDMT tools allow you to create simple custom-installable software distributions. However, to create more advanced installations such as upgrades and installations that prompt the user for input, you should also create component scripts.

In addition, to take full advantage of the SSO standard, you can mark specific files in your distribution as private. To do this, use the SSO Path Mapping API.
