Adding managers to the SCOadmin hierarchy
Once you have created a SCOadmin application, you have the
option of adding
it to the hierarchy so that it can be accessed via a desktop icon
or with the SCOadmin launcher (graphical and character).
Preparing a new manager for use requires the following:
-
create a desktop object with necessary support files (including icon pixmaps,
activation files, title, and message files) as described in detail in
scoadmin(F).
-
use the scoadmin command line to copy the application
into the hierarchy.
The scoadmin command is used to add, update and delete
managers from the hierarchy.
The following example copies an application
called Cat Manager.obj from /tmp to a new
folder in the hierarchy called Demos:
scoadmin -p Demos -l /tmp/"Cat Manager.obj"
See
scoadmin(ADM)
for more information.
