Remote access endpoint characteristics
Use a remote access endpoint when you need to accept
incoming PPP connection requests from remote hosts.
A link established to this type of endpoint has
the following characteristics:
-
the incoming call acquires a modem from a group of one
or more modems administered by UUCP
 -
the remote host machine initiates the connection using a
getty(M)
type login
 -
either the local host or the remote host must be able to specify the
IP addresses that identify them

To add this type of endpoint, see
``Adding a PPP link endpoint using the PPP Manager''
and
``Configuring an endpoint for remote access''.
