Packaging your SMUX peer
Once you have finished testing your
SMUX
peer and are satisfied that it is of high quality,
it is ready for shipment to customers.
Normally, it will be shipped with the product it was designed to manage.
A typical package would include a disk containing the device driver, the
SMUX
peer daemon (foosmuxd), and the
MIB
module (foosmuxd.my).
It is important to include your
MIB
module:
it can be read in by
many kinds of management software, such that the network management
workstation can more effectively control your device.
