nfs(NADM)
nfs --
NFS start/stop script
Syntax
/etc/nfs start
/etc/nfs stop
Description
The /etc/nfs command is used to start or stop the
NFS software. NFS will start automatically at system
startup time if /etc/nfs is linked to
/etc/rc2.d/Sname Similarly, NFS will
stop automatically at system shutdown time if
/etc/nfs is linked to
/etc/rc0.d/Kname. See
rc0(ADM)
and
rc2(ADM)
for further information.
The /etc/nfs command starts the server daemons when
file systems that should be exported are
in /etc/exports. These server daemons are
mountd(NADM),
nfsd(NADM),
and
pcnfsd(NADM).
The client daemon
biod(NADM)
is always started.
If the /etc/auto.master file exists,
automount(NADM)
is also started.
When the NLM service is installed, /etc/nfs
starts the
lockd(NADM)
and
statd(NADM)
daemons.
