Copying a drawing area

To copy a drawing area within a picture:

1. Select the portion of the picture you want to copy. See ``Selecting an area'' for instructions.

2. Move the pointer inside the selected area.

3. Drag with mouse button 3 to move the selected area to where you want it to appear, then release the button. To limit movement of the selected area to the horizontal and vertical axes, drag with the <Shift> key depressed.

OR

1. Select the portion of the picture you want to copy. See ``Selecting an area'' for instructions.

2. Select Copy from the Edit menu.

3. Select Paste from the Edit menu. This function pastes the selection to the upper left corner of the viewing window; you can now move it to its new location.
