Testing your help book
To test that your hook file brings up the
correct context-sensitive help:
-
Print out the hook file so that you can check off each
hook as you test it.
-
Kill the xm_vtcld server process.
-
Add this line to the file /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/ScoHelp:
*simpleInterface: False
This allows you to use your browser View Source option.
-
Start the manager.
-
Bring up DocView by pressing <F1> and then select
FileView Source in the browser window. Leave the
source window open; it displays the node name that you can
check against the hook file for each selection you test.
-
Place the cursor on the different widgets to which you linked your
.html node files and press <F1>.
-
Open all dialog boxes and windows and click on the Help buttons.
