A Warning message is used to tell users of potentially
damaging or undesirable situations; to confirm or cancel
destructive actions; and to identify the object of
destruction.
Warning messages:
-
appear in movable boxes of fixed size
-
are accompanied by a beep
Programmer guidelines:

Identify the object of destruction and to confirm or
cancel destructive actions.

Include buttons for user acknowledgment. If the
message asks a questions, use Yes or No buttons. If the
message offers information, use OK or Cancel buttons.

Include a Help button if more information is
available.
