Protecting files and directories
In this chapter, you will learn about user identification,
group identification, and permissions that the UNIX system
uses to keep files secure.
You will learn how to read the information in a long listing,
and how to change the owner, the group, and the permissions of a file.
Before you begin, you should be familiar with files and directories.
You should know how to use the l command to get a long listing
and you should know how to use vi to edit a file.
