Distributing home directories

Distributed user accounts must have corresponding distributed home directories. You can make distributed home directories available with one of the following procedures:

configure automount to automatically mount a distributed user's home directory via NFS wherever he or she logs in. For more information, see ``Distributing home directories with automount''.
NFS-mount user home directories from a home directory server by ensuring that /etc/default/filesys is the same on all client hosts in your NIS domain.
manually create user home directories on each machine in your NIS domain.

When home directory automounting has been configured, you can manage distributed directories with the useradd(ADM) command.

NOTE: You cannot use the SCOadmin Account Manager to distribute a user's home directory.
